GovTech Sandbox

GovTech sandbox – a space of experimentation and knowledge that allows to test and expand the latest technologies (artificial intelligence) in public sector institutions and understand what changes are needed to fully enable these technologies.

During the program, innovation projects are initiated in public sector institutions, addressing specific directions of change. The program focuses on creating products based on emerging technologies and evaluating how the developed product contributes to the implementation of the direction of change.

In the case of positive results:

  •  Regulatory, process, and behavioral changes necessary for the successful use of the developed product are analyzed and initiated;
  • The expansion of the developed product to other public sector institutions is ensured.

In 2024, the pilot GovTech Sandbox program is being implemented. During the program, 15 public sector institutions test products based on artificial intelligence technology. Additionally, 6 concepts are being developed to assess the future possibilities of utilizing artificial intelligence in the public sector.

Strategic foresight approach was used for co-creation of the concepts, starting with identification of main change drivers and critical uncertainties and moving to future building.

Concepts were developed by choosing the positions:
